Scared by his inner darkness, pyromaniac Jordan has vowed to change for the better. He focuses on Kimberly as the key to his success, but she intends to make him break his promises. Unaware of Jordan’s atrocious actions in the past, she’s dangerously close to unleashing the evil he struggles to contain during their epic battle of wills. Can they both survive?

Paul leaned in the window and kissed Debbie. “Move your
dirty feet off the dash,” he told Jordan
and slapped the car’s roof.
“Did you pack your duffel bag?” Debbie asked. Jordan
nodded. “Off we go.”
Twenty minutes after crossing the river, they inched up
Noreen’s Pennsylvania driveway to
her small, brown, gingerbread house, and Jordan

anticipated the squeeze and the shake she’d give him, and bent over his duffel
bag, he pretended to check zippers and straps. She hurried down and spun him
around, thick arms bear-hugged him and leaned from side to side; he grew dizzy.
Puffy brown hair tickled his face. “Come inside; I have cookies and milk,” she
said. Her chirpy voice hit a nerve, and Jordan
clenched his teeth.
