What was the hardest plot point or character to write in your latest book, Blazing Upheaval?

This story covers a two-year time period. Keeping it a fast-moving thriller over that long time was challenging.

What is your favorite part of Blazing Upheaval?

I like to transform real-life narratives into gripping fiction thrillers. I'm amazed by the experiences and events people are unexpectedly thrown into. They inspire me with their strength and courage, facing daunting circumstances. My favorite part is weaving the threads of their story into a tapestry of suspense and intrigue.

If you could change one thing about any of your books, what would it be? 

Since my thrillers are based on true stories, I wish I could change the trauma they went through, suffering, pain, and loss.

What is a snack you couldn't write without?

I love snacking on popcorn.

What's the first thing – ever – that you remember writing?

My first published writing was a poem about the African crown bird. Their beauty and elegance enthralled me. My mom sent my poem to Jack and Jill Children’s magazine and they published it.

If there was one thing about your writing life that you wish you could change, what would that be?

There are so many wonderful, exciting stories to be told. I wish there were time to tell them all.
